Angie served the United States Navy as a civilian intelligence analyst and was a victim at the Pentagon on that tragic Tuesday morning. An exceptional individual and a great contributor to the community, her absence is felt by many.

A group of Angie’s family and friends created this fund as a tribute to her devotion to and enthusiasm for education and community service. During her university years Angie spent many hours tutoring elementary school children as well as college students. A recipient of scholarships herself, Angie received a B. A. in English with minors in Sociology and Writing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Her kindness touched yet more people as she served the D.C. community by regularly delivering food and clothing to the homeless. Were she here today, Angie would still be helping others. Each year the Fund awards at least one $3000 scholarship to someone who exhibits great dedication to community service as well as academic accomplishments. The deadline for the 2008 award is March 15th, 2008. Please click here for details about eligibility and the application form.

In order to be able to continue awarding scholarships, the Fund sponsors various fundraisers. Additionally, tax-deductible donations can be made at anytime.
